Hello, I'm back! Attended my trainer turned friend, Willie Keng's chat with fellow Dividend Titan member, Samuel's - "How to safely supercharge your first $100K stock portfolio" yesterday (17 Apr).

Other than the many insights shared by Samuel and Willie, what really triggered me was I noticed Samuel's blog (https://www.financialpilgrim.com/blog) is hosted by Wix.com too! Then I remembered about this blog of mine which I started in 2022 but did not gain much traction and I forgot about it with hustle and bustle of work, family commitments etc.
Went to dig up this blog of mine and brought back a lot of memories of starting up this blog, the formatting, the colour scheme, font types and the many iterations I did with feedbacks from friends. Definitely not easy, and I gotto take my hat off those long time bloggers and their perserverance!
Just as I wonder if I should pick up my pen (in this case the keyboard again), Willie shared his wise words - If I have the time, blog on! He did not expect much when he started his blog (Articles - Dividend Titan) too but it went viral and opportunities popped up, he made friends like me and he also touched many people's lives (including mine!) in their financial journey!
Another line of wisdom from Willie - "Other than assets such as properties, stocks, blogging is also a form of digital or literal asset!" While digital/literal assets like blogs or books read may or may not produce monetary or financial benefits like stocks, bonds or properties, but such digital/literal assets definitely appreciate over time, tangible or intangible :)
What was golden is Willie made me remember what was the intent behind my blog when I set it up:
(1) Wasn't it to reach out to the greater community out there (or at least I try) beyond my family and friends to raise the level of financial literacy and awareness of health (mental, physical, emotional U name it!)? Has it changed?
(2) BEYOND my daily routine of work, family, invest, sleep; then rinse and repeat, Don't I still want to use this blog to journal down my financial and health journey? Something I can look back on after years and reflect on and recall the good, the bad, the ugly and lessons learns.
And the answer to both Questions (1) and (2) above is still a resounding YES!
So yes, I'm BACK and HOPE I can persevere on and maybe touch people's lives just like Willie! ;)
After all, there's much more to work and work, there's only so much one can binge watch on Netflix/Disney+/Youtube every night, there's only that much one can monitor the stock market every night, and surely much more to the usual grind, routine and life! Question is, do we want to venture beyond and make an impact? Feel free to share your thoughts with me!
Yours,
Mr MoneyandHealth ;)
Better than binge-watching indeed
Keep it going! Dun give up and share the financial literacy to all who needs it!
